We had 3+ inches of rain the past 2 days so we went on a tour with JD today to see where the water was. This is looking out and about the meadows that lie in the middle of our ranch.

This is the Longely dam. I don't know that I've ever seen it this full.

As we were going toward the dam, this is a huge washout.

Here we were up above the dam looking out across the meadows.

Here is the "gumbo crew" and Clayton showing off a new form of "GUMball"!

Right in front of our house is a creek that is rarely noticeable...until a big rain and you can see it out of the banks!

More of the creek out front.

This is our crossing down the road that is very flooded. Usually I can walk across the whole thing and it doesn't start until beyond the wood pile. :) WOW!
We're enjoying it!

You guys need a couple of jet skiis or something! :)
Looking forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!
You guys get the jet skis, we'll get the boat! This rain is such a blessing. We have had around 9 inches over the past few days! It is amazing to see so much rain after such a drought.

Those croakers (toads, frogs, or whatever) have a lower tone of voice than ours. That is a nice "wet" sound!! The snow tore our fences down, looks like the water washed yours out. It is good to have grass, though.
I've been thinking about you all since Mel told me how much rain you have had. WOW! I bet everyone is in a pretty good mood around there, huh? All those clouds, gray skies, green grass, and WATER!! Beautiful! :) I hope this is the beginning of a wet season up there! See you SOON! ~Michelle B
